I have been on the pill for almost two years, how long do I have to be off to be able to to get pregnant?
Question: Another one for you.
Answers:
You should be able to get pregnant right away, However most doctors recommend that you wait at least three months after you stop hormonal birth control so that you can have regular periods again. It will make it easier to date the pregnancy if you know that your cycles are, for example, 33 days long instead of the standard 28.
That said I got pregnant during my second cycle after stopping the pill after being on it for nine years. We didn't expect for it to happen so quickly.
it varies from person to person, talk with you gyn dr
