7mths ago I had a baby and i'm breaastfeeding with not period can i still conceive?
Answers:
OH , dont believe Emerilla. Maybe it worked for her but that is definiltey not always the case. YOu can DEFINITLEY get pregnant while breastfeeding full time. Happened to a friend of mine that was breastfeeding constantly and her baby was 4 months. She had no period. You ovulate before your period, so obviously you would be ovulating before you even realized it. You never know when that period will start up again. I also breastfed full time, no substitutions, and I had my period by the time it was 6 weeks post partum with all 3 kids.

You can conceive while breastfeeding unless you are using other methods such as birth control, condoms, etc. Breastfeeding is NOT a form of birth control.
It is possible so if you don't want to have another baby at this time you need to be careful. Your chances are much lower because you breastfeeding but it is not impossible.

Mommy of Two Yes, but lesss likely than if you wern't breastfeeding
Yes, you can still conceive. Although many women do not have a period while they are breastfeeding, they do still ovulate. Their productive organs are still in working order and in fact, can be considered even more fertile.
Nevermind that.... why is your boyfriend/husband wearing a shirt made out of Wonder Bread wrappers?Yes. Yes. Yes. Remember that your hormones are totally wacked for at least a year. So, if you don't want another right away... take precautions. Oh YES dont belive that old wives tale. You will end up with another
In certain people breastfeeding can be a form of birth control. It is caused by prolactin feeding back and preventing the release of the gonadotropins which cause ovulation. It doesnt work in every woman and they are not yet sure how to know which women do have this, but if you are not conceiving, that may be a possible reason.
you might not want to get pregnant again while you're still breastfeeding and while your baby is that young. it's a ton of work. i know a couple of women who did that, and it was really a lot for them, but if you really want to, it's not impossible, though quite unlikely if you're not having your period. You can...it's somewhat less likely, but not very reliable as a method of birth control. If you don't want another pregnancy this soon, it's best to use another form of birth control. yes u can. but u can't use any contraceptives.
yes
If you are breast-feeding full time and have still not had your period, you will NOT get pregnant. It's a natural spacer. My sisters and Mom never got pregnant while they were breast-feeding.. BUT you have to make sure you're breast-feeding full time. If you start subsituting some feedings with formula, you're period will come back sooner. After your first period you can get pregnant again. Until then.. have fun!Source(s):
