A genetic defect?

My husbands mom said she was diagnosed with something that could possibly be passed down to my husband. She said that it would make it harder for him to have children if he had it. Does anyone have any idea what it possibly could be? I don't want to ask her because I don't want her to know that we are trying to concieve(she will never stop talking about it). She had mentioned it to my mom and my mom said it started with Tri something. Please help! Anything guesses would be good!

there are many genetic defects that start with tri . . one of my miscarriages, the baby had a trisomy defect (one too many of a certain gene that would have caused the baby to die should I have even made it to delivery) . . the best thing you can do is the two of you see your doctor and have your husband tested for any abnormalities . . this way no one will know what you are doing . . and you can find out if your husband is clear of anything . . good luck . .

Make your husband ask her again. If you're afraid he'll spill the beans, ask her yourself. Don't tell her you're trying to conceive. Just tell her you were curious about it. Best of luck!
