i have stopped the pill 2 months ago after 8 years i am now 2 weeks late am i pregnant?

i have been on the pill for over 8 years and stopped 2 months ago coz we decided to try for a littl'un. I am now 2 weeks late, i have had a docs urine test and a home test over the past 2 weeks but both have said neg. I went back to my doc yesterday and she said i may not have a period for a YEAR! and that im defnly not pregnant. how can she say this after just 1 urine test?? Im a bit upset, and confused is she right? Ive still not had a period. help!

It can happen. You have to think you were on the pill witch keeps you on a regular time cycle. Now that you have stopped the pill your body is missing the what was keeping you regular. When i stopped the pill mine went 28 days then to 32 days then to 40 days then back to 32 days. I'm waiting to see what it is this month. Just relax don't stress and enjoy having sex with you hubby (boyfriend). If you are pregnant you will know soon if not just keep trying. I know easier said then done but it is about all you can do. If you don't start in 2 more weeks take another test. Good luck and best wish to you and your hubby.

That doesn't sound right. I can imagine you period being a little off after 8 yrs. but I can't imagine it just stopping. that would be something you would expect with depo. not the pill. I would get a second opinion.
