(for girls only!)?

IT'S BEEN ABOUT A YEAR AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOT PREGNANT I WAS ON THE DEPO SHOT, BUT ALITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO, THE THING IS MY HUSBAND HAS KIDNEY DISEASE DO YOU THINK THATS WHY I CAN'T GET PREGNANT? IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO GET PREGNANT? I AM ALSO TAKING PRENATAL PILLS, BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN A DOCTOR YET FOR PRENATAL CARE? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Answers:
Here's what I was told when I first got on the depo shot. After you stop taking it, it can stay in your system for up to 18-24 months for it to totally leave your system. Some people it doesn't last as long, but others it takes a while. So I wouldn't give up, it may just take a while to get out of your system.

That might be part of the problem. You need to see a doctor.

If you are concerned about it I would talk to your doctor. They can give you suggestions for increasing your chances for conception. Some times if you stop trying to concieve you will get pregnant because you stop stressing about it. There are many things that could be affecting your ability to get pregnant. I would first see an obgyn, let him/her know that you are trying to concieve, then they can help you to develop a schedule of when you are most fertile, or they can test to see if you are fertile at all. I would first talk to a specialist because of the amount of technology, they would be able to test you and your husband for compatibilty as well as fertilization rates. Who really knows what's going on? Talk to your doc and find out.

Problems with Kidney's can directly affect the Vas tubes that are part of the reproduction system in men. My advice to you would be to have your husband go in for a semen analysis. Having that done will let you know for sure if your husband's sperm/semen is an issue in conceiving.

Good luck to you!
