Is it possible to get a negative OPK reading (ovulation predictor) when you actually are about to ovulate?

I used an OPK (Ovulation predictor dip stick actually) for 11 days straight and never got a positive result. Somewhere within that 11 days I got pregnant. I'm trying for my second 3 years later and haven't gotten a positive yet. Does anyone know how foolproof these are? Any similar situations?

Answers:
Yes, it happens a lot that an OPK is wrong. I keep recommending women *not* use them, but there are a lot of recommendations for them!

If you want to increase your odds of conceiving, I would suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler instead. It has a lot of useful information and is very readable. It will help you read your own body instead of trying to interpret test sticks.

Other Answers:
Not all tests are accurate. You have to count in other factors. Biggest thing is not to stress over it or change your mind and then you will get pregnant.
