I have a three year old from a previous relationship and my husband does also. We can't seem to get pregnant. What are we doing wrong?

Answers:
well there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

first call your docetor and ask go in for an appointment to see where your ovulated. then he/she will give u more tips and stuff like that.
In the middle of your cycle, if you have a normal about 28 day cycle. You usually ovulate around day 14 or so, so try having sex every other day about 10 days into your cycle. (the first day of your cycle is the first day you get your period)

The only time you can get pregnant is at ovulation. Very simply--no egg, no pregnancy. However, sperm can live in the female body for up to 5 days if conditions are correct, so you can get pregnant from sex before ovulation. In other words, you can have sex only on Monday, then get pregnant on Friday.

If you want to determine when you are ovulating, please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler; it has lots of useful information.

The short version is that there are 3 possibilities: either you are infertile, you aren't timing it right, or you just haven't been trying long enough. Even if you each have a child, either one of you can now be infertile or subfertile. Or there could be something about the two of you *together* that makes you infertile as a couple. If timing is the problem, the book I mentioned above will help. And, otherwise, just keep working on it. It can take up to a year for a fertile couple to conceive.
My wife and I tried for a year...tried to predict ovulation, etc. Finally, she had an extensive discussion with her doctor. His suggestion was that we needed to have intercourse EVERY DAY for an entire month. Yikes! Nevertheless, the first month we followed "the doctor's orders," we conceived. Since you've both had children before, I would certainly give it a try.

This is a great website that will tell you when you're most fertile. It worked perfectly for me.
To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
Buy a home ovulation kit from your local drug store. When it says that ur ovulating have sex as much as you can within that week.
