Is it possible for a woman to be incapable of conceiving when she mestruates every month?

i have tried to have a baby for the past two years and i have failed to conceive.i did not seek any medical assistance & still havent since i thought i had no problem but my fiance who has two kids from a previous marriage is beginning to query my ability to have kids.We have even gone to the extent of havig sex on a daily basis but this hasn't worked.The only time i thought i was pregnant was when i had a delayed period of 31days but surprisingly on the 31st my period started.On average i go after 26days.What could be the problem with me.I have never used any contraceptives.

YOU CAN GET YOUR PERIOD AND STILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE YOU SHOULD GO TO A DR ASAP AND THEY WILL RUN TESTS TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, TELL THEM THAT YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR A YEAR THOUGH SO THEY WILL SPPED UP THE PROCESS

Having a period every month has very little to do with fertility. If you are infertile you will almost certainly still have periods.

There may be nothing at all wrong with you, it is not your fault either way. Whatever you do you must not feel to blame. If you understand about conception (it sounds as if you are not too up on it) and are convinced you have tried everything, then go see a doctor. Otherwise you need to do some research to mind out how to conceive. I am quite staggered by the mis-information posted on this site. I don't mean that to sound patronising but you need the fact, not a load of old wives tales which will be posted on here. Maybe go to the Family Planning Clinic (If you are American I don't know your equivalent or even if you have one but you sure as hell need one). They will tell you all you need.

My sister has a very normal period every month, and she is unable to have any kids. she went to see many doctors including fertility doctors and no luck. if you cant get pregnant try your GYN and see what they say.....depending on what they say try a fertility doctor, you can also get insiminated from your fiance........and if that doesent work try adoption, thats what shes doing now............GOOD LUCK!

calculate duration of your cycle.have regular sex from 10th day to 18th day of menstruation, which should be the most fertile period. Have lots of fruits and vegetables. there should be no smking and no alcohol. Try to experience orgasm everytim eyou have sex. If nothing happens in the next 3 months or so go for a test called folliculometry. by the way have the semen of your partner been analysed, which should be don eearliest before you try these tricks. the guy may be incapable to impregnate.

sounds like you have a short 2 week wait. have you tried using ovulation tests to know exctly when you ovulate? making sure your NOT using astroglide or KY? there not friendly to sperm. also , you might want to get tested for fertility. there could be a simple problem to fix that is stopping you. good luck!

I was/am the same way. Found out a few years ago that I had/have PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome), which basically means that your body over produces eggs so you really don't ovulate, therefore getting pregnant is harder. But periods were regular, go figure.. there is alot of good information here...

But had 1 w/o treatment, another once I went on glupaphge daily and one once I quit treatment & was actually taking the depo shot, but to be honest I tried for a VERY long time. But it can happen. Feel free to contact me if I can help more.

it's possible, but it could also be the guy (low sperm count). But, I have known couples to try for 3 years not have a baby and adopt one. After they adopted a baby, they got pregnant. Your best bet is to talk to your doctor.

If you have never used contraception, is there a possibility that you have contracted an STD? Diseases like Chlamydia is hard to detect and can do serious damage to fertility. Go get checked out. Good luck at conceiving =)

yes it is possible, your eggs could just be sterile. Just because he has had kids before does not make him fetal now. Go to a fertility clinic, they can test you both and give you options.
