Is it safe to have sexual intercourse up to 15 times daily intending to lead to conceiving a baby?

I have heard that (not that I"m an expert) that you should track ovulation first, and then have sex every other day a few days before and during your 6 or 7 day ovulation.
I'd say that having sex 15 times a day is excessive for your task at hand.
You need to understand when your wife is ovulating.
Sex during ovulation is the BEST way to conceive.

Don't you have a life outside sex and conception? Stress could stop her conceiving, and not having any other focus in life could be quite stressful - lets of pressure.
Maybe buy some of those urine dipsticks to tell you when she is ovulating.

No this is not safe. See your practitioner and he will tell you! Sex up to five times a day is pushing it. Jeez Louise your partners womb is prob severely damaged!
My obgyn told me not to try more than a 2-3 times a day. She gave a medical reason....but unfortunately I don't remember it. :) I would say to take it more easy. Is your wife on prenatal vitamins already? If not, that helps. Also make sure you are having sex during your wife's few days of ovulation. Hope this helps.
stressing over wanting a baby is probably preventing her from conceiving. i know it may sound silly but stop "trying" to get pregnant and you will...that happen to me with both pregnancies. good luck!
and no 15 times isnt unhealthy but you will wear her out pretty quick and that takes the fun out of baby making, relax, enjoy it and have fun!

actually the more a man has sex in a day the weaker the sperm get.so if you have break for a couple of days you are more fertile again

15 times a day just to get pregnant is overdoing it. If you're trying to get pregnant, you should be going about 3 days in between, your sperm will be stronger.
I suggest you and you wife read through the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health by Toni Weschler
Your actually lowerign your chances. As you continue to"go", your seprm ount drops. Its better to wait till she is ovulating and then try to conceive. I went to fertility treatment and learned that most women ovulate 12-14 days after the very first day of their menstrual cycle. Wait for these 3-4 days and also try having sex in the monrning because both of your hormone levels are higher, and your sperm count is higher. Try te refrain from sex a day or two before she is going to ovulate, this will increase your chances drastically.

You might be surprised what a break in having sex could do. Give it a rest for awhile and then try again. It is always good to keep trying!
Sometimes more is less. It's like holiday every day, you can not enjoy it. Take tree days of break, eat good food, some swimming in cold water, red vine and do it in the mornings, around 10 a.m.
If she is tired and it's too much, then it is too much.
We tried every other day, it gives your boys a chance to produce more sperm.

Number of times won't matter if she is not ovulating. You have to find that out and take it from there.
The first thing to do is to have her track her cycles so you can have sex when she is fertile. She can check her cervix and cervical mucus to know when she is nearing ovulation. The cervix will soften and push back farther. The mucus will become stringy when pulled between two fingers. If she finds this to be too much work she can buy an ovulation predictor kit. All you do is pee on a stick and it will tell you when you are fertile. If you get the digital one a smiley face appears on the screen on the days you need to do the baby dance. 15 times a day is not a good idea. Once a day or every other day is recommended. Doing it 15 times a day will not improve your chances, remember your body can only produce so much sperm. Every other day during her fertile period is absolutely your best option. Try to have have sex on her most fertile day, the day before ovulation. THe day of or day after is too late her cervix will have already began closing. Also don't use lube because it will kill sperm, if you must get Pre- Seed it kills the fewest sperm.
Ok, on your behalf, well done for the stamina. That is the good part. The bad part is that what you are doing is actually decreasing the odds of conceiving, because while you may be able to have sex that often every day (say WHAT??), your sperm take a good 24 hours to replenish themselves.
So what you are infact doing is shooting blanks. You would be better off sticking to once a day just to give your little army time to recruit new soldiers.

I agree with Julie. It does take up to 24 hours to recharge. If you are having intercourse that often you are defeating your purpose because very few of your swimmers are reaching the destination. In this case more is not better, despite how you close it makes you feel. And make sure that you are having intercourse a few days before ovulation, that way there is sperm present when she ovulates.
