not to do with pregnancy?
i have a 17 year old daughter who is scared to death and is to embarrassed to ask herself. We have called the hospitals but they said they can not give out information. Can someone please help. It started last night. She had gas and felt as if she had to go the bathroom. her stomache hurt. and she wasnt able to go. So today i got her some laxative and she was able to go a little bit but she went six times. Now that the laxative seems to be wearing off she cant go to the bathroom again is this because her butt is swollen (the opening) or becase she needs further attention. is there anything i can give to her or anyway i can help her it would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much for your help.

I agree she needs to see a doctor. You don't want to just treat the symptom, you need to find out what is causing the problem. If she has a blockage in her intestines, it could become life threatening.

she could be pregnant and not know it, and be in labor. i know a woman this happened to. take her to the hospital right away.
There are many things that can be causing this problem and the only person that can tell you what is causing it is a doctor. You don't want to take any chances nor do you want to wait for it to get worse. Get her into a doctor now even if it means the ER even if it turns out to be nothing it is better to be safe then sorry. Good luck.
