Can you get pregnant if you miss one of your depo shots?

If I missed a depo shot , could I get pregnant? I am just wondering. I have been taking the depo shot for a 1year and 5 months. but if I missed a shot could I get pregnant? and I am also 19 years old.

Answers:
Honey, I got pregnant on depo! I always took the shot a week in advance and NEVER missed it. My son is depo baby. You can pregnant on it and if you miss it. If you don't want a baby, the only sure fire thing to do is not have sex.

Other Answers:
Possibly, depends on how long you have been taking Depo. Depo is a pretty strong drug.

yes you can get pregnant if you miss your shot. yes - there is only one sure birth control and that's not having any sexual relations.

YES! I missed my shot "window" by three days and they made me take a pregnancy test before they would give it to me. And I have been on it for six years!

I have a friend who got pregnant ON the depo shot so it's certainly possible to get pregnant if you miss one.

any time you have sex you can get pregnant even when you Don't miss your shot. But usually the shot lasts about a month after it's three months is up. I still recomend using a different contreceptive (i.e. condom, spericide) until you are able to get back to the OBGYN.

no it takes awhile to run out of your system , what made you think you can get pregnant if you missed your 3 months shot it's not going to make a differance and in order to get pregnant you have to a period duh

personal experience A woman can get pregnant holding hands, OK.

Absolutely! I have a friend that got pregnant because of that with her first son, and then the same thing happened to her with her second pregnancy. If you dont get the shot on time is really dangerous bcause you are not protected against pregnancy.

Absolutely. and especially because you are one the shot. It seem as if women become ultra sensitive to fertility when taking birth control and a doseage is missed.
