how do you know if you are ovulating?
Answers:
First of all you must ovulate to have a period and since you had 2 then you have ovulated at least twice. When you ovulate and the egg doesn't get fertilized then it dies and your lining (which had thickened in case of pregnancy) sheds. A cheap and simple way to see when you are ovulating is to chart your basal body temperature which is your temperature upon first waking up before you have done anything. It must be taken at the same time everyday with no more than a 15-30 minute variation. All you need is a thermometer. You can chart your temperatures for free at http://www.fertilityfriend.com/
Really it will probably just take some time to get pregnant after the birth control. My sil got pregnant on her third try after birth control but it took one of my friends 2 years. Everyone is different. I wish you the best. Good luck!
Edited to add: I also wanted to inform you that since you aren't regular right now it would be a waste of money with the ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) because they are expensive (even online) and until your body gets back to normal you will have to use ALOT of them.

Look outside if the moon is half then not yet.
There are actually devices now which can tell you.
If you don't want to throw out the cash, there are other signs. Your vaginal lubrication will change when you ovulate. It will become "thicker". Your temperature will increase slightly. Some women will feel abdominal discomfort as they ovulate.

ask your sex partner to remove his condom maybe ?
Angela to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.
