How many day's after ovulation do you start your period?

I'm wondering, does anyone know how many day's after you ovulate that you start your period? and is it the same number of day's even if you are not regular? I'm trying to concive and just started mine today so trying to figure out when I did last month to make my chances better this month.

Answers:
go to this very helpful website http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.
It also keeps track of your periods. It is a free site.

Good luck

Approximately 14. Better to use the ovulation predictor kit or to track your basal body temperature.

honestly, I have a very irregular long period now, but no matter how long it is or whatever, I always get my period 14-17 days after I ovulate. I've been tracking that for about 6 months now, and it works like that consistently every month. You usually ovulate around day 14-18 of your cycle with cycle day 1 being the first day of your period. If you have a regular cycle then you should start your period around 14 days after you ovulate.

10-14

you ovulate 2 wks after your period so its about what 3 wks after you ovulate that you start your period. If you want there is a site that will tell you when your most likely to ovulate and when your suppose to have your period.

you take the last day of your period then you count from their to 12 days then you have sex like crazy on the 12th-14th day... my sister-in-law tried for 4 years then a friend told her about it and she conceived 14 -16 days

Cycles vary from woman to woman, obviously, but most women's luteal (days from ovulation to menses) are about 14. If you have a short luteal phase, then the docs might give you progesterone shots, or supplements, because you need to have at least 14 days for the fertilized egg to implant. If you have a 28 day cycle or a 39 day cycle, your luteal phase will be about 14 days. The variation comes from day one until you ovulate. Most women with long cycles (39 days) may not ovuate until day 25! Women with short cycles ( 24 days) might ovulate as early as day 10.

None of these are irregular, just different. Generally, your cervical fluid will be dry for a few days, then turn sticky, then turn white (lotion-like, or milky) then turn to clear and stretchy (like an eggwhite) The eggwhite cervical fluid is what to look for because it means you are approaching ovulation. It is a sure-fire way to know when you are most fertile, no matter how long your cycle is.

After you ovualte, your cervical fluid usuallly gets water-like, or wet, but dissipates quickly. At this time, you should expect your period about 14 days later (or a positive pregnancy test!).

If you are under stress in the pre-ovulation state, it could delay your ovulation. (This is how we get late periods). However, if you experience excessive stress after ovulation it won't postpone your period.

Luteal phases generally range between 12 and 16 days, but usually stays between this range for almost all women.
