Massage & Pregnancy?

What are the "rules" about getting massages during pregnancy? I am TTC and want to get a massage. However, it is too early in the month to test to see if I am pregnant. Thanks!

Answers:
It is recommended that you do not get a massage in the first trimester of pregnancy. There are no conclusive studies regarding this (to my knowledge), however, massage releases toxins into your bloodstream, which may or may not be harmful. It would be wise not to take the risk. However, they say massage is fine in the second or third trimesters. They are actually helpful (and give you a chance to lay on your belly for the first time in months because they use those preggo pillows).
I would highly recommend it! I got massages every 3 weeks when I was pregnant. Pregnancy massages are the best. They are way better than normal massages to me.
