Is it implantation bleeding if spotting occurs for 4-5 days? I have no additional pregnancy symptoms.?

My periods are very irregular,last year I only had 4 cycles. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. It has been very hard to pin point my ovulation days. On 3/14/2006 I started my period,20 days later I had light spoting (a cler eggwhite like fluid with pink or red spots)that lasted 5 days. I usually have heavy periods when I do get them. But is implantation bleeding normal if it happens for more that one day? I have no additional symptoms. Well my breasts become sore before my periods. So it is not something that I have never experienced before. Well I've also never been pregnant before.Can you please give me any advice. I would appreciate it very much. thanks-daniz

Implantation bleeding can last anywhere from 1 day to 1 week, and it can be very light, or a continous spotting for a few days. Its really different for every woman. My implantation bleeding was just like a normal period, just a little lighter though, but lasted as long as a period.

The discharge that you described does sound similar to the discharge a woman experiences during implanation, same with the pink and red spots. The discharge is also normal to have before ovulation begins.

I would recommend taking a blood pregnancy test because they are much more accurate than a urine pregnancy test, and the result can be weels before a urine pregnancy test. The cost is usually abot $30, and you can get them done at your local health department, clinic, or doctors office.

In first time pregnancy, its normal for a woman not to experience any pregnancy symptoms until she knows for sure she is pregnant. Some says its all because its related to the think-feel factor-- we think we are pregnant, we feel we are pregnant. Most pregnancy symptoms are more pronounced in second or later pregnancy's.

That is crazy, I was trying to get pregnante, and my period were also very irregular for a while, I should be having my period now, but like 7 days before I was supose to start, I had what you had, that eggy like stuff with pinkish tint to it. I dont know for sure if it is, all I can say is I hope so! I also took a test 5 days before missed period and it was negative, it is now 3 days after missed period and I am going to take one in the morning!
