Does anybody know anything about Vitex?

I started taking Vitex 6 mos ago to move up my ovulation day. Well, since taking it, it has helped my ovulation to stay at day 15 for 4 out of 6 mos (and the 2 mos it wasn't on day 15 were right after I had a miscarriage). I've read a lot of things that say you can either take it from CD1 til ovulation or all mo. Well, I've always taken it all mo and hence have had a steady ovulation day. My question is, if I get pregnant, is it harmful to take it until pregnancy is confirmed? I'm scared that if I stop taking it after ovulation now, that ovulation will be different next mo. And that would be bad, cause we're spending a lot of money on IUI's and HAVE to know what day ovulation is. Sorry for rambling, but any info anyone has would be appreciated. Thank you

try this website. It says: "Some say to take it from menstruation to ovulation - stopping once ovulation has been established and then continuing again if menstruation should occur. Others have said it is safe to take all month long - stopping if pregnancy should occur. On this argument - the effects vitex has on a woman's hormones can benefit her throughout her entire cycle. Also, it may be a smart practice to discontinue any supplements during menstruation, to allow the body to completely cleanse itself. I would suggest reading the bottle and asking a health professional about the dosage and time to take vitex."
