How long does it take for me to start ovulating after being on birth control?

Answers:
Of course this is going to be different for everyone. Some will ovulate right away, and most doctors will tell you within 2-3 months. From my gal friends, I have found that it depended upon how long they were on the pill. For example, one was on for 2 years, it took her 2 months to ovulate and conceive. Another was on for 10 years and it took her about 10 months (10 or 11...) to conceive. In my experience this is what was true of being on regular BC pills. Other forms of BC were completely different, although your doc will stick to the 2-3 month lie. If you don't ovulate within that time, you are not alone.

it depends on the method of family planning. if u are using pills, it may take up to 3-4months before u can ovulate as usual..
The pill is used to trick your body into believing it is pregnant , that is why you cant get pregnant while on the pill . After taking the pill for a prolonged period of time then quiting , it takes your body several months to start releasing new eggs to be fertilized . Of course in some women it has happened sooner but I wouldn't expect any results before 9-12 months . Good luck
