a month on metaformin and still no period?

what can it mean if I still have no period does it mean the medicine is not working? been on a diet doing good what the problem?

Answers:
Metformin...all it does is to help ovulation it doesn't cause your body to have a cycle. Provera i know causes you to have a cycle cause i was taking Clomid and Metphormin....well the last 8 months i havent had a period and have had to have it induced by provera......If you are seeing a doctor he/she should have told you all this...if you need anything send me an e-mail or something because i am now at the next step after clomid....metphormin....and provera.......GL!!!

Other Answers:
yes there could be a chance it is not working but its very rare if you have been taking it right. sometimes when women go on a diet there periods either go weak or stop all together but i think you should take a pregnancy test. if you are pregnant then it didnt work if not then its just your diet.
IF YOUR TALKING ABOUT METPHORMINE HYDROCHLORIDE, I TOO WAS ON THAT FOR APPROXIMATELY 9 MONTHS AND IN THAT SPACE OF TIME I ONLY HAD 1 PERIOD, BUT YOU HAVE GOT TO GIVE IT A WHILE TO GET CIRCULATING AROUND YOUR BODY,IF STILL NO PERIOD IN A SHORT WHILE THOUGH ID GO BACK TO YOUR GP AND EITHER GET A STRONGER DOSE OR SOMETHING STRONGER FULL STOP.
you should ask for provera. i had to take that to regulate mine.
