The best time to get pregnant is around the time that you are ovulating, which is a little different for every woman. The most inexpensive way to tell when you ovulate is to use a Basal Body Thermometer (which you can buy at a drug store for about $10) to take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed and chart your temperatures on a graph. Your temperature will rise the day after you ovulate and stay high until your next period. Try this website. It has a free charting program and lots of great tips on how to get pregnant!

Seriously, try between day 10-14.
Usually on a 28 day cycle you would count 14 days from the first day of your period...but since you have a shortened cycle I would say count 12-13 days from the first day of your period...this should be the time when you are ovulating. You have a 48 hour window of fertility during this time. You can usually tell when you are ovulating from the slimy discharge that you get and from the slight cramps that you may experience as the egg is being released.
