How long to i have to be off the pill to get pregnant?
Answers:
It has a lot to do with: what hormone level your BC was and if you were regular before the pill. I quit the pill in February 2006 after being on the darn thing for 10 yrs. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant each month thereafter with no avail. I can't remember if I was regular before hand, but I am certainly not regular now.
I found some great information on webmd.com about getting off the pill and pregnancy. There is a chance for those who just get off the pill to become pregnant with twins- did you know that? Your body starts to regulate the menstrual cycle and therefore can release 2 eggs. I had an ultrasound done in March that showed exactly this, but we were not able to conceive that month! Darn!
Hope this helps!

I got pregnant within a month but everyone is different.
I just had this conversation with my MD two days ago. She said a person should wait three months after going off the pill. Just get off the pill now and keep trying!!
You can get pregnant immediately. Most doctors recommend waiting a few months so the pill's chemicals are out of your system. I will say though that it is harder to predict your cycle when you go off, so if you want to wait use another form of birth control.
Once you are off your b/c pills, the hormone is no longer in your body. I stopped taking the b/c pills the last week of April, conceived around May 3rd (I am 10 weeks). Just depends on the strength of your b/c pill, how long you have been on them, and if you had a regular cycle before you started your b/c. Good luck to you!It varies. Some women will get pregnant if they miss a single pill. Others need a full year off the Pill before they are fertile. And very rarely, use of the Pill makes the woman permanently infertile. IT CAN HAPPEN WHILE U R ON THE PILL B-CAUSE THAT HAPPEN 2 ME
It takes about 30hrs for the hormones to leave your body after the last pill you took, after that your body will have to start working on his own. When we are on the pill, we do not ovulate, all our periods are fake thanks to the hormones, so once you stop taking it your body has to start doing it all on its own so it depends on your body. But this is my case, I quit the pill on march 13 this year, had my first period on May 3rd, it took me 6 weeks to have my period, then I ovulated on May 10-13 and got pregnant that period, so I got pregnant on my first cycle after the pill, Not to mention I took the pill for 6.5 years, I am 8 weeks pregnant today and very happy. Good luck
it all depends on your body once i stopped taking the pill i was pregnant within 2 weeksI just dealt with this and researched it on the web. I saw that more sites said that waiting 3 months was a common myth, but it really didn't matter. It may TAKE you THREE months to get your period back and stuff, but it differs for each person. I just quit my BirthControl (ortho trycyclin lo) a few weeks ago and (so far so good) Ask your doctor! But it should be fine.... :)
