Had 1 Depo shot and now want to get pregnant?

i had 1 depo shot in May and we have decided we want to have a baby.should one shot make me delay my period for up to a year?

I had one depo shot. It took me a while to get my period back... but then again some how I managed to get pregnant... a faulty shot or something? Anywayz... I lost the babies... and the doctor decided to put me on birth control to regulate my period. I was put on Ortho (the patch). It worked... a week and a half later I started my period... and it was normal. I suggest getting on a form of birth control that will get your period regulated... especially if you want a baby asap. Good luck!!

Ask your doctor, but I think they are only meant to work as protection for about 3 months. Keep trying!!
