7years later nothing has happened?

we've been together for 7 years. no birth control.i have a 10 year old son.we are ready mentally and financially.should i start tracking my basal temp and menstural cycle befor going to a specialist.I'm 29. he is 34 with no children.does the pillow under the pelvis really work.he takes very warm baths every night.he's not a shower guy.also he pulls out as soon as it is over if we try the pillow thing should he leave it in for 30 minutes.why is it when you plan it nothing happens when you dont plan it something happens.should i stand on my head or quit wasting time and see a specialist

Answers:
if you havent been using any type of birth control at all for 7 yrs and have failed to conceive, I would go to a specialist now. If you have practiced some type of birth control such as withdrawal, then maybe you could try some methods for conceiving before you go to a specialist. but 7 yrs totally unprotected, and no baby is quite a long time.good luck!

Talk to your doctor. They consider infertility after 6 months of ttc without results.
But you are right about not trying -our own experience was a lot like that. Spend 8 years of trying most of which included IVF- all failed. I finally was told to give up (well, they gave up). We applied to adopt and once that process got moving we were pregnant. Now we have two beautiful kids - both were a gift from God, just in different packages.
After, you know, put your legs up in the air with a pillow under your back side. It's easier for a woman to get pregnant faster if she comes with her partner.
Well first off, I can truly relate. I too have gone about 6 1/2 yrs. w/o any kind of bc and haven't had any luck getting pg. But first try to tell your husband to not take warm bathes, this decrease his sperm count. Also, do try the pillow under the pelvis, I'm going to try it myself. But standing on your head? Umm.. unless you have good balance I wouldn't .
My husband and I were married 15 years before having our son. Actually trying for almost ten years. It took eight months of Clomid, but we did it!

See a doctor - Both of you should be tested. It is a very simple test for him. No reason to do alot of expensive testing on you without testing him as well.

Track your cycles and bbt - www.fertlityfriend.com is a great site for that.

Also, buy Toni Wexler's book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" Priceless - It should be required reading for every woman of child bearing age - even if they aren't trying to concieve.
