How long should be off of birth control pill before trying to concieve?
Answers:
My doctor told me that once you stop the pill you can try immediately, it does not hurt your baby at all. However not all women start ovulating as soon after they go off the pill. But it is completely safe!
I took the pill for 6.5 years and as soon as I went off of it I had a preconception appointment, the doctor told me that it might take me up to 6 months to get pregnant but that I could start trying right away. She put me on the prenatal vitamins and did tests to check my cholesterol, kidnees, liver, sugar etc, it all came out fine.
I got pregnant the first month after I quit the pill, baby is good with no problems!

I don't think there is a set limit, it's more when the hormones from the pills have worked their way out of your system!
I got pregnant 6 months after going off!
My sister concieved one month after she went off. Her children came out normal if that's what you're worried about. Once you're off the pill, your hormones start getting back to normal. Your overall health will determine when your body is ready to conceive.
And it is very good at that part.
My wife went off the pill, and the next month our daughter was conceived. 22 years later and she is still healthy, active and my pride and joy!
i got pregnant 3 weeks after stopping the pill..i remember the first day of my last period was april 21, i stopped the pill that day.. and on may 25th i took the test and it said pregnant. now for some people it doesn't happen that fast, but for the most part, you don't need to be off for a certain time in order to start trying.. good luck If you are off the pill and doing the deed, then just let nature take it's course. When the time is right, you will conceive and I don't really think there is a set amount of time you need to be off before trying.
you can begin trying immediately, thats why people love the hormonal method so much, as soon as youre off, you can become fertile. (ok, so it takes a day or two for the hormones to leave your blood.)
I think it would have to be at least a year. Let your body detoxify itself from the hormones put in the pill and also for your own hormones to get back on track and well balanced. There isn't any set time frame but most doctors advice that you wait for at least one normal cycle ( menstruation, ovulation, menstruation ) before u start trying.
good luck How long you were on the pill will not affect how soon you can get pregnant. Some women get pregnant immediately after coming off the pill, even after being on them for 10+ years. I would wait until you have had at least two normal periods in a row. This way you know your cycle and this will help you know when you will ovulate.
