After the M.C. for how many days does the ovule remain viable?

If a woman has to get pregnant ,within how many days after the M.C. must she have sex?Is it true that the ovule is most viable on the 13th day after M.C. so that if a woman has sex on the 13th day after M.C. she is most likely to become pregnant?

Answers:
Yours is a "textbook" answer. It doesn't take into consideration all of the other factors...the woman's individual cycle, the age of the woman, the previous history, (ie. scarring, miscarriages, etc)...

Best bet is to chart and test. I swear by ovulaiton kits, the 21 day test, so that way you don't accidentally test too early or too late. My ovulation was day 8/9/10 ish after my period. If I waited until day 13 I would have missed it.

Nope, the best day to become pregnant totally depends on YOUR cycle. If you have a 28 day cycle, then yes, day 13 or 14 would be the best day to achieve pregnancy....but if your cycle is 30-32 days, then your day of ovulation will differ. The ovum is only viable for 12-24 hours....after that it starts to lose it's viability
First of all, you are confusing your terms. The menstrual cycle is usually 21-40 days long--from the beginning of one period to right before the next one. Menstruation is the technical name for the woman's period. Menstruation is typically 3-7 days long.

A woman generally ovulates 12-16 days before her *next* period will start. Sperm can live in her body for up to 3 days (occasionally up to 5). The egg can live for 12-24 days (and sometimes, there is a second ovulation within 24 hours after the first).

So a woman with a 32 day cycle will usually ovulate around day 18. If so, she is fertile from day 16 until day 18, and possibly for 2 days earlier and/or the day after. (But, since she may have ovulated 2 days earlier or later, this is only an *estimate*.) This is complicated by the fact that, even if a woman *always* has 32 day cycles, this particular cycle may have been destined to be 26 days...or 40. So using numbers this way can be very inaccurate.
