How long should I wait intill to take a pregnancy test?

A pregnancy test may take 3-4 weeks to become positive. Wait until you miss your period or some other sign appears.
I am however curious to know, how are you so shot sure that you ovulated on the 6th?

It's too early to take the test, wait another 2-3 weeks......but chances are pretty good that you are pregnant
sperm can stay inside u for a few days b4 it dies. so u have a chance to have conceived....if u r so sure abt the ovulation date.
if ur period delayed for 2 weeks, chances is very high.

sperm can live up to 2 days in the canal, so just relax. 14 days after you ovulate your body will start producing the hormones that are detected with a home pregnancy test.

Implantation takes place b/w 6-12 days after ovulation and then it takes another day or two to start making the pregnancy hormone. So, you could get an accurate result as early as 8 days post ovulation. It also takes some women longer to start producing enough hCG (preg. hormone) to be detected on a home pregnancy test, so it could take as long as a few weeks to get a positive if you are pregnant. Since it's only the 8th, it's still to early to get an accurate result since you only ovulated 2 days ago. I'd wait until at least this time next week to test and if it's negative, wait another few days to test again. You can also go to your dr. for a blood test, which can detect much lower levels of hCG and can therefore give you an answer more quickly than a hpt (still no earlier than about 8 days). As long as you and your partner don't have any fertility issues, your chances of being pregnant are pretty good. Good luck!

Your chances are good. Try to relax as you wait for testing time. It can be very difficult to wait, but testing early will usually result in a negative, even if you are actually pregnant.
i had pregnancy symptoms and took 4 home pregnancy test all came out negative i waited till i missed my period and took it 5days later to be sure it came out positive so i would just be patient and relax dont stress (i miscarried :-( /my stress had alot to do with it wait atleast 3 weeks since you say you ovulated then take a test but keep in mind it could still be early and come out negative if so take another test 2 weeks later GOOD LUCK!!! im trying to concieve....
you need to wait 2wks before taking the test other wise it will show up neg
