How long does it take to go back to normal after the "pill" ortho-tricyclin?

I went off the pill (ortho-tricyclin) in May. I missed my next period, which didnt surprise me. But ever since then, I will have a period for 5-7 days, go a week without bleeding, and then get a period again!!! Its like my complete cycle is only 2 weeks long. I have had 5 periods in the last 2 1/2 months!!! It horrible!!! Before the pill, I was a perfect 29 day cycle every month!! I have never had a problem!! Now that my husband and I are trying to conceive it makes this very difficult, especially since I am ovulating now (according to the calander and an ovulation predictor kit) but I also started my period last night ...again! :-(
Is there any thing I can do to regulate myself, or if I go to my doctor, is there anything she can do?

Answers:
I haven't been right ever since. Provera and clomid can regulate your cycle. Clomid is fertility meds that help you ovulate. Provera makes your body think that you ovulated and are ready to start your period. I feel your pain. I wish that I would have never went on the pill now.

By the way...nice avtar!!!
That's probably something worth seeing a doctor about. It's probably just your body readjusting to it's own hormones, but it's best to be on the safe side! Good luck, and I know you'll have a beautiful baby soon.
