my wife had taken clomid, can this cause a problem?

My wife has clomid from dr for days 3-7 she was unaware that she was suppose to start taking it on the 3rd day of her full period and instead took it on the 3rd day of only spotting, will this now mess up her whole entire cycle? Will it be possible still to obtain pregnancy? I know this is a specific question but I thought maybe someone else might have confused this before also... If anyone knows about this please write thanks Sorry forgot to mention, I'm asking because she spotted for a week after finishing the pills and stopped for 2 days and after we had intercourse she is spotting again.

Answers:
I am taking Clomid now and my doctor told me the same as you...take on the 3rd day of actual bleeding..he said wait until it's red. Your wife is okay I think if her period was red blood and not just the beginning...some people only spot during their period, this could be the case for your wife. There is always a chance for pregnancy if you are trying, so don't fret this month and if you haven't conceived, try again next month. At least then she will take the clomid correctly and maybe you will conceive. Good Luck, I know it is a stressful time, but try now to let it get to you too much.

The best thing I can tell you is have her make an appointment with her Dr. There are many side effects with Clomid and you are better safe then sorry, ecspecially if she is spotting after intercourse. It could be nothing or be a sign of a problem. Good Luck!

Took clomid

I am taking clomiphene citrate( clomid).Normally, your wife is suppose to take the medication on her 3rd day of her cycle whether if she is bleeding or not( according to my GYN).If she is continuing to spot,I would recommend talking to her doctor to get a 2nd opinion.Just continue to track on the days when she is going to ovulate or get a ovulation dectector at your local pharmacy. If she does not have a period next month,do a pregnancy test and call her doctor. My doc always told me to take it on day three after any form of bleeding, including spotting. Don't worry, I don't think this will mess anything up. Good luck!
