Abnormal mentrual cycle, is it still possible to concieve?
Answers:
I have a friend who only gets her cycle once every few months(3-4). When she does get it she has alot of pain and bleeds for an entire month. She has 2 children. So yes it is possible to have children when the cycles are not regular. However, she should talk to a fertility specialist to make sure she can conceive.

Well i only get my period about 2-3 times a year and i asked my doctor if i could conceive and she said yes. that was all i needed to know. I do not have children at the moment because i am not ready to and i have a girlfriend so it makes it harder for us. also being overweight is not the reason because i was underweight and my doctor told me yes. i know there are different ways on getting pregnant she will just have to time it. see i know my period will come every six months. if she knows when her period will come than she can plan to get pregnant at that time. i believe i have heard after 14 or 15 days after your period that it would be the best time to get pregnant. i am not quite sure but find some books about pregnancy and see what happens. So Big Sis, you do not have to worry just try to tell her what i said about timing her period and see what happens.
Good Luck Mother To Be
she can still have kids
i really would suggest she go to her gynelocogist..that is the only way to know for sure..

medical book......nurse practictioner
get her to take ovulation tests (you can get them from the chemist) if they are positive that means she is producing eggs.
well sometimes if a woman doesn't get her period she still ovulates, but if she has a cyle that is that screwed up its probably best she go to a doc and get test and stuff done to find out when she does ovulate, to help her out.but she can most deffiently still get pregnant, she may have to think about ivf or something like that, coz with that treatment the docs ect work out when she ovulates and all.
If she hasn't had *any* menstruation, then, no, it is not possible to get pregnant. If, however, she has been having irregular cycles, it is possible.
I would strongly suggest that she see a doctor who knows what he is talking about!! Overweight does *not* cause a cessation of menstruation (underweight can, but only when it is *severe* as in anorexia). Stress can cause menstrual irregularities, but not that serious, either. (It is possible to have a period without ovulation but *not* to ovulate without having a period--unless she gets pregnant!)
She needs to talk to a gynocologist who specializes in infertility and/or hormone irregularities. If she will listen to you, suggest she get a referral to a specialist.
this isn't something you don't need to worry about she's a big girl and she can take care of this on her own by going to her ob her sex life is her own business you wouldn't like it if she did this to u would you?
