After having a 16 year old child (only child) should I try or even think about being a parent again?

Answers:
Hey, it is your choice. There are twenty years difference between my oldest and youngest.
On the down side is that you do not have the energy you had 16 years ago.
On the up side is that you now know so much more. It will also promote fewer "empty nest years" when you are older.
If you want another child, I say go for it. Children tend to keep us young (perhaps that is why I am one of the oldest kids I know).

My brother is 16 and I'am 14 we are 22 month apart
When I was in hospital having my son there was a woman in there having her second son. Her first was 15 and she found it so much better having that age gap. The first son helped her with everything from rubbing her back when she was in labour to changing diapers. It was really sweet to see how much he cared about his Mum and brother so. I'm sure not every situation is the same but in this case it worked out well.
