how long should i wait to take another test ?

My last period started on the 8th of last month i had relationstions on the 15th of june and i tested on July 1st and it came back neg. it is now the 10th of July and i have not yet gotton my period just wondering when i should take a test should i just wait till the end of the week to see if my period comes or should i test i just dont want to see another neg.!

It depends on when your next period is due. From the sound of it the 15th would have been early to be attempting pregnancy. You are most fertile the 6 days prior to ovulation and ovulation tends to occure 14 days before your period. I would test again. If you had relations on the 15th the sperm would live 4 days at most (yes there have been wierd longer times but they are very abnormal) so you would have fertilized and egg by the 19th and had implantation in the next 4 days so around the 24th at latest. HPTs test for hcg a chemical produced after implantation and require 25mg or mor to be present in the urine. Today would be about 16 days past and it could be detectable, they usually have you wait 14 days for a blood test. A few days more would give you a more difinitive answer.

Here is a very good ovulation predictor to help if you aren't pregnant this time. Don't be too tough on your self. Even if you do everything right there is only a %27 chance of getting pg each month.

give it another week. I know it will seem like forever but if you absolutely cant wait your doctor can do a simple blood test and find out. Those results are more reliable than a OTC test anyways

I would say to give it until the end of the week. Being that your last period was the 8th of last month, it could just be off by a few days. I say, if it's not here by Friday, take another test or consult your doctor.
