After Ovulation starts, does it matter if you keep trying or are you really done being fertile for the cycle?
Answers:
Yes, it does matter if you keep trying after ovulation. The truth is there is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected sex. An egg can be viable for around 24 hours but sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days depending on the conditions. Yes women are fertile a few days before ovulating, however it doesn't hurt to continue trying after your ovulation date because there is a chance that you ovulated a little bit later than planned. Also, some women claim to have gotten pregnant while on their period if that is so then they were fertile after ovulation. Good luck!

Nope you are only fertile during ovulation.
My "Taking Charge of your Fertility" book says 5 days before THROUGH your ovulation day are your fertile days. I got pregnant with my daughter 5 days before ovulation. I know this because I was charting. The sperm that make girls can last 5 days and still fertilize an egg. I'm not sure, but you can enjoy the "practice" with your partner anyway.
Hey I'd keep trying. Honestly I don't know nothing about this whole ovulation thing. But I do know I got pregnant both time while having sex on my period. God Luck!!!!

My husband and I had sex every other day after I stopped my period, that was the last period I had. I found out I was pregnant 4 weeks later, I am not sure which time we had sex was the one. But that is how we did it. I hope this is helpful. this is how it was explain to be 14 day after you start bleeding is when ovulation usually starts and 3 or 4 day before and after is the best time ...its when your the most fertile.

I'm no Dr. But I know a few people that have gotten pregnant after starting ovulation. Every woman's body is different and the time span of ovulation can be different as well.

You have from 12-24 hrs after your egg has been released that you are still fertile. They tell you to have sex 3-4 days prior to ovulation so you assure that you do not miss the release of the egg because sperm lives for up to 6 days if in the right temperature inside of you so, once tge egg has been released you still have about a fertile day. I would try like two more time on the day you ovulate.Try that morning and that night. The egg lives anywhere from 12 to 24 hours after you ovulate.
Once you ovulate..if the sperm is not already there..it is not likely you will conceive.
