ok mt period is always off, sometimes for a couple of months, i went to the doctor and she put me on provera,now my husband and i wanna have a baby, so can you get pregnant on provera and what should i try to do next? thanks

If you have a period every couple of months, you may not be ovulating. If you are not ovulating, you will be unable to get pregnant. Provera will stimulate a period, but not ovulation. If you want to get pregnant, ask your doctor about Clomid, which will stimulate ovulation. Also, start taking your basal body temperatures to determine your ovulation date.

No provera doesn't work...........the only thing that does is a good load of spunk up your p****.

No there is no way you can get pregnant and still be on the shot cause that shot is in your system for over 3 months or more and it puts your eggs in a "sleeping" stage which makes it impossible. If you want a baby, I would suggest get off birthcontrol at once and give your body time to reject the chemicals from the shot. This could take anywhere from 3-6 mo. I know all this because I have been in your shoes and on the depo shot. yes you can still get pregnant women even get pregnant on birth control pills and if you are trying to have a baby you might want to get off of provera Good luck !

I take provera every month so i have a flow, its not good for woman not to, that can be a detection of problems in the future as in highr risk for cervical cancer, Let me tell you when i didnt have my flow for a couple months when i finally did it was hell im mean heavy(bad clots) and bad bloating mega cramps i would have to lay in bed for the week since the provera its not as heavy(very minimal) no crampping. YES you can get pregnant while taking it and if you should happen to become pregnant on it theres nothing to worry about as far as miscarrage my Doc. said it wouldnt harm the baby The best thing to do is contact your gyn or regular Doc ask for a referral to see a specialist thats the best thing to do

I have irregular periods and my doc put me on prometrium to start my cycle and gave me a fertility drug called clomed that is safe i would recommend talking with your doctor now since taking the prometrium i have had a normal period for 11 months
