How can I select the sex of my baby?

I want to have a boy for my second child. How will I and my wife do it?

Answers:
The males sperm is what decides what gender your baby will be. However, there are 2 types of male sperm. There are 'boy' sperm, and 'girl' sperm. Timing when you have sex determines what gender the baby will be, NOT the sexual position.

'Boy' sperm are the stronger of the sperm. They swim faster and make it to the egg first. However, they have a short life span, and die off a few days before the 'girl' sperm.

'Girl' sperm are the slwoer sperm. The are the last ones to get to the egg, but they have a longer life span.

To try for a baby girl, have sexual intercourse a few days BEFORE your wife ovluates. This is because, by having sex before she ovluates, by the time her body realses an egg, all the 'boy' sperm will have died off because they have a shorter life span, and the 'girl' sperm will be left. If you have sexual intercourse at the time she is ovulating, your more likly to have a boy, because the 'boy' sperm are the stronger ones and will get there first.

If your wife has regular periods, then her time of ovulation is about 14 days after the first day of herr last period. For example, if she started her period on the 1st of the month, then her time of ovulation would be on or around the 15th of the month. Have sexual intercourse about 3 days before this day to help get a girl.

If she has irregualr periods, then you can buy an Ovulation Test to determine when she are ovulating. They only cost about $10, and you can get them almost anywhere that sells pregnancy tests.

when you ejaculate hope yell baby boy...you dumbass you can't select the sex of the baby...how the hell are you having kids and asking this kind of question?
You cannot and the sex of the baby is determined by the father's genes.
hehe...artificial insemination??no..I dun noe..But there will always be a reason behind it for every ting tat happens okay??Or worst 2 wrst, adopt one!
You can't select the sex of your baby - even with in vitro fertilization and selective reduction, you're not permitted to select based on gender. However, there are plenty of boys waiting to be adopted and that's an awesome way to guarantee a son, who needs a family.
the sex of the baby is determined by the sperm i don't think there is anything you can do to control it
Let God do that.
well you have a 50/50 chance
I think there's something to do with the time, or something like that. i've seen several books relating on child birth and different techniques to make sure the sex that you want is correct. although it isn't scientificaly proven, many people say it has worked. so just go to your local book store and ask for any of those book.
try till you get baby boy.
while have sex select the checkbox for boy underneath the left nipple. (whoops it is the nipple)

i think you produce more male sperm earlier in life, and when the weather in your boxers is closer to winter. so 1. get to work. 2. ice them boys down.
sorry to bust ur bubble of hope, but you cant select the sex of ur baby..its all take what u get :)
hope it all works out though!
there is a fifty fifty chance you will get what you wish for, but I am sure you heard that enough times :) That and try waiting till you are very tired if you want a boy, as the little nippers swim fast but tire easily. That means both of you yawn. Still the odds are 50 50 for a reason best of luck, don't try too hard the boys are lazy, and won't appreciate it! ;)

Wear boxers instead of briefs. Take a cool bath before having sex. Keep your testicles cool to avoid destroying the Y sperm that carry male characteristics. It will increas the odds of having a male child...but it won't guarantee it.
usualy we use pencil to fill this box in, yet a pen might work.
Get a man that has all boys to help yall out.
Dont take any notice of stupid comments!

There is several theories about being able to choose the sex of the child.

To get a boy:

Either abstain from sex or use condoms until 4 days before ovulation. After this point, abstain entirely until 12 hours prior to ovulation; this sexual respite acts to boost a man's sperm count, a condition that favors male sperm. During the 12-hour ovulatory window, a couple should have sex, preferably just once. After this, partners must use condoms if they have intercourse again in the next several days

There is more information on the following website why this works. They claim a very high sucess rate!

You can select the baby's sex but you'll need to do some research-the odds are still difficult but apparently male and female sperm swim at different speeds and based on the day you have sex in relation to your ovulation you can or so I have heard "guide" the sex of the child you want. Look into this and do some research.
well usually u cant but i found this thing called a chinese lunar calendar and it was right with everyone i know who have had children. it takes ur age plus 9 months so lets say im 21 and my bday is in sept then i would put 22 for my age and go to what month i conceived in or trying to and it will say what i will have if i conceive in that month. i have found that it is pretty accurate.

by having sex the man determines the sex and the woman determines how many and it's just a roll of the dice from there and of course it depends on whether the man has brothers on his side which is how he is able determine the sex and get a life

I have heard that I can help determine the gender of my baby. How can I do this?

You are probably thinking of the Shettles Method which is based on the premise that sperm carrying the X and Y chromosomes have different characteristics and that you can influence the reproductive environment to favor one or the other. While there is some controversy surrounding both the credibility and the morality of the method, here's how the theory goes:

It is the sperm that fertilizes the egg that will determine the sex of your baby. Some sperm carry the X-chromosome and some sperm carry the Y-chromosome. If an X-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a girl. If a Y-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a boy.

The idea behind the Shettles Method of sex selection is based on the premise that the X and Y chromosome carrying sperm have different characteristics and that under different circumstances either X- or Y-chromosome-carrying sperm will be more likely to fertilize the egg.

The Y-chromosome-carrying sperm are said to:

be faster and smaller than the X-chromosome carrying sperm.
die faster than the X-chromosome-carrying sperm.
The X-chromosome-carrying sperm are said to:

be slower than the Y-chromosome carrying sperm.
be better able to withstand the acidic cervical environment before fertile cervical fluid is produced.
Based on these premises, according to Shettles, you can time intercourse, choose a sexual position that favors conception of your preferred sex and influence the reproductive environment to increase the likelihood of conceiving your preferred sex. These are the suggestions from Dr. Shettles:

To Get A Boy (According to Shettles):

Time intercourse as close to ovulation as possible: The idea is that since the Y-chromosome sperm are faster than the X-chromosome sperm, there will be more Y-chromosome sperm who reach the egg, making it more likely that a Y-chromosome carrying sperm will fertilize the egg.
Abstain from intercourse for four to five days prior to ovulation. Have intercourse only just at the time of ovulation and just before.
Have intercourse that allows for deep penetration. Shettles recommends rear-entry (aka, “doggy-style”). The idea is that the sperm will be deposited closer to the cervix where cervical fluid is most friendly to the Y-chromosome sperm and where the “boy sperm” are more likely to survive since there is less distance to travel.
Men avoid tight clothes: heat kills off both types of sperm, but will kill off the less protected, smaller Y-chromosome sperm faster, according to Shettles.
Women have an orgasm: According to Shettles, female orgasm increases the alkaline secretions in the vagina that are favorable to the Y-chromosome carrying sperm. Shettles recommends having an orgasm before or at the same time as the male partner.
To Get a Girl (According to Shettles):

Have intercourse 2-3 days before ovulation and avoid intercourse just before ovulation until 2 days after ovulation and when you have peak cervical fluid: The idea is that when you have sex a few days before ovulation, only the X-chromosome “girl sperm” will be left in the female reproductive tract waiting to fertilize the egg when it is released.
Have intercourse with shallow penetration: Shettles recommends “missionary position”or any position that will deposit the sperm slightly away from the cervix, giving advantage to the longer living, but slower X-chromosome-carrying sperm.
Women avoid orgasm: Shettles suggests women avoid orgasm because it makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, and less acidic and is disadvantageous to the X-chromosome “girl sperm”.
If you are taking longer than expected to conceive, it is generally not recommended to attempt any kind of sex selection as it can increase the time it takes to conceive.
