Answers:
My doctor gave me progesterone to help start my period when I was late and a blood test confirmed I wasn't pregnant. It was only a short-term thing to bring on my period so I could start my next cycle and ttc. Once I started my cycle my OB prescribed Clomid, which I began taking on day 3, to help me ovulate. I conceived that first month. It unfortunately ended in a miscarriage, but we later learned that I have a luteal phase defect, which means my uterus lining doesn't get thick enough for an egg to implant securely. I now take progesterone from day 16 of my cycle until I start my period or until the end of my first tri-mester if I get pregnant. I did this with my second pregnancy which resulted in a healthy baby girl. We are in our 2nd month ttc another child. Anyway, progesterone can have different uses depending on when and how it's used and at what dosage. As long as you are ovulating, that's what's important in getting pregnant. You can chart your bbt (basil body temperature) or buy ovulation kits to find out when your are ovulating. Check out fertilityfriend.com for info on charting your bbt. Best of luck.
Talk to your doctor about this...your doctor prescribed you these meds then you talk to them about it.
