16 dpo no sign of AF and BFN!?

It is Tuesday today and I am 16 dpo. Intially I thought that I would get my period on Friday (12dpo), fertility friend predicted that I would get it Monday (15dpo) - but it seems that we are both wrong. My temperature has been up at 98 but then on Monday it went to 97.3 - which is still above my coverline (97.1). I thought for sure I was going to get my period...but no. When I took my temperature this morning is was 97.6 and I tested negative on an aimstick pregnancy test. For the last 3 days I haven't felt anything going on in my uterus, but today - I can feel things, pinching on my right side and a dull aching feelling around my hips. I read that if you are 16dpo and no period you are pregnant. Others say 18dpo. If my temperature dropped but is still above my coverline is that good or bad? If I am pregnant will I be able to keep the fetus warm at a temperature of 97.4 (avg)? Other things I have noticed: thirsty, peeing alot, hungry, very slight nausea.
