Does anyone know what the progesterone level test on day 21 after taking clomid is for?

I just had mine done this morning. My Dr. told me that the purpose of the test is to determine whether or not ovulation actually took place.
You probably had your levels tested around Day 12 too, perhaps after they checked your ovaries with an ultrasound for mature follicles.
The difference in these levels is how your doctor will confirm that you indeed ovulated as planned.
