If the guy takes medicine for ADHD, can that effect his sperm count?

My husband is 28 years old and has been taking medicine for ADHD most of his life. I heard somewhere that it can make you sterile. Is that true? We have been TTC for about 3 years now with no luck.

Answers:
1. Talk to his doctor.
2. Go to the drug manufacturer's website and find the "insert" for the drug. That's the very detailed information the FDA makes the drug company provide to the doctor.
3. find the "contact us" button on the drug company's website and email them.

Other Answers:
well if the medicine is to calm him down I think you can make an educated guess his sperm are as high as a kite and couldnt know where they are supposed to go?
I don't know about being sterile but it can hurt your liver and kidneys..Riddelen causes saver liver and kidney damage.
no, not as far as i know. altought the adhd may be affecting him on deeper levels. and teh medication is not making it better. low sperm counts are cause to inner problems or deffects. and sometimes no problems at all. it comes with age, mental and phyisical abilty. or maybe he is just a shortie so to speak, consujkt a doctor before jumping to such concluions.
two words "speed freak" that is the drug used for adhd so aint surprising he's a jaffa "sorry"
This could be a possibility so call your Doctor and find out.
I knew a lady whos son could not produce children because he was on meds for ADHD. Its best to see a doc and have his sperm count evaluated. If he can't give you a child, you may want to look into a DONOR OR ADOPTION.
Has your husband tried any natural methods for ADHD as oposed to meds. Chemicals in the body can effect us in weird ways, they are always coming up with new problems to long term medication.
i dont know but you might be able to find out by a physician or maybe there is someone that might be able to tell you at the pharmacy if it will
