Late period but have done 3 HPT's and all negative :( Anyone else with this problem?Could i be pregnant?

Have recently started to TTC.Stopped taking the pill Sept last year my cycles range from 26 days to 35 I am now on CD39 and still no period. My BBT has been high for the last couple of weeks, unfortunately don't know the exact day of ovulation but we did plenty of BD for 10 days around ovulation. Should I wait a while or go see a doctor now?

Some women just don't get positives on urine tests as quickly as others. Blood tests are far more accurate. There is also the possibility that you O'd later than you normally did.

I would say to give yourself a deadline. If you haven't gotten your period after a few more days and still show a negative on a urine test....head to your doctor for a blood test.

We are trying and have been for about 4 months, this past month my period was 10 days late. I had also taken two tests both negative so i called the doctor she told me to wait a week and the take another one if i had not started yet. I would would wait a few days and if you have not started take another test. Sometimes it takes a few weeks for the home test to show positive. Good luck to you.

There are too many inconsistencies in your question for me to give a reasonable answer...

How can you know your BBT is high and *not* know when you ovulated? Ovulation is the point at which your BBT rises. If you didn't see the rise, you don't know if it's high or low.

If you don't know when you ovulated, how do you know you had sex around ovulation?

How much sex is there in "plenty"? Maybe it was too much.

Some things you should know... First of all, many women are infertile for months after using hormonal birth control. It can take up to a year to be fertile at all. Very rarely, hormones cause permanent infertility.

You could be bleeding every 26-35 days and *never* ovulating or having a period. If you want to be sure you are ovulating, you need to check BBT reliably, not once in a while.

Sex too often can reduce fertility. If you know your husband is fertile (i.e. from a recent sperm count), sex once a day during the days when you are fertile before ovulation gives you the highest chance of conceiving. If you don't know or if he's borderline or low, sex every other day will probably work better for you. That's *during the days you are fertile*, not "somewhere around ovulation...which I don't know anyway..."

If you *did*, in fact, ovulate and have had at least 18 high temperatures, you are almost certainly pregnant. If you had high temperatures, then *higher* temperatures afterwards, you are almost certainly pregnant. Failing either of these, wait another week, and test again. A pregnancy test would be very accurate (at least 95%) at that time. But you could still get a negative if you are one of those women who don't have HCG "spill over" into their urine until 2-3 months after conception. In this case, it is certainly late enough for a blood test to show pregnancy.
