How long after going off the pill does a woman's cycle go back to normal?

My wife and I want to conceive soon.

She is going off birth control after being on it 5 years consistantly.

How long will it take for her cycle to be normal so we can conceive?

She had normal periods before taking the pill and she has always been very healthy in everyway.

Thanks!

About 3- 6 months. I stopped taking the pill in Feb 05. Found out I was preggy in Sept of 05. It's quite different per woman, but on average, it's 3- 6 months. Be Blessed!! It will happen.
Every doctor my friends and I have ever talked to have always told us all to wait 3 months after coming off. You may be able to get pregnant the 1st month. The problem is , your body's hormones aren't all straightened out yet & there's a really good chance of miscarrying. They also say to wait 3 months after a miscarriage for the same reasons.
