Potty training my 2 year frail!?
Answers: I completely disagree with giving candy as any kind of reward system. You'll hold to be patient and keep trying to work beside him. My first son was easy to train, because he pee'd when fresh nouns would hit him (lol) so as soon as he pulled down his pants he could pee in the potty and picked it up really natural. My second one (boy also) doesn't pee as easily. You could try to run the tub or sink water, but if you're surrounded by the same boat as me, that doesn't even work.
In fact, my little one know, talks all roughly it, and even sits on the potty and makes the sounds of peeing, but I've never got the little guy to jump in it. You'll just own to start giving him lot's of liquid and every 5-10 minutes put him on the potty and get him to sit for a few. Soon or then he'll pee and you can praise and shout with glee and he'll probably make the nouns!!
A really good time is right in the morning, cart off his diaper, put on some underwear or trainng pants, and start letting him drink hose, then wait 5-10 minutes and start putting him on the potty near after every 5-10 minutes after he drinks more water.
I bought a little book at Wal-mart that's by the potties that I sit and read through beside him about 2 times each time to keep hold of him on the potty.
Usually kids will have a big pee within the first few minutes of wake up in the morning (also after naps). When he pees, cheer, go crazy, large it, do whatever you know he'll love. He'll learn closely because the sensations are stronger with this heavy morning pee. Then he'll be motivated to repeat this the subsequent morning. After doing this a few times he should be on his way to understanding how to voluntarily release pee.
This make it so that when you give him the chance to sit on the toilet every few hours throughout the time he can voluntarily empty his bladder, you don't have to rely on timing rather so much to help him stay dry and it makes training a bit easier.
boys are alot harder to potty train than girls. what i did beside my son was, i bought him a lil potty seat that made music everytime he used it and since he like the sound of the music it made he used the potty, but it was species of tricky, i had to time him, everytime i would give hi something to drink, i wait about 15 minutes and i sat him on the potty for 10 minutes or until he used it, we he used it the potty made music and eversince consequently, he used it, not to mention i would reward him with little things. eventually he start using it, it just take time. VERY VERY VERY common both of my kids did this at 2. He's just exploring right immediately and you need to let him. Around 2 1/2 I permit my son go naked and brought the potty bench into whatever room we were contained by and ran him to it when he started to go. Eventually I kept moving it closer to the bathroom and later in the batheroom. He is semi-trained but is very inactive about it. He wont tell me when he requests to go so I have to basically make him go every couple hours. I hear boys are harder to train my daughter be a breeze. He is still young though so don't worry. Boys are usually closer to 3 back they are trained. Oh yeah I gave him "pee pee" candy (small piece of licorice as his reward) - hey whatever works.
Give him for a while treat after he actually uses the bathroom, like a lolipop or something. what worked for me 2 times be rewarding him everytime they went..buy a bag of candy and everytime he go give him one every kid loves candy..I m trying to potty train my 2 year old girl immediately
