Oh my no way! Diapers even pull ups tell a child to go ahead and pee in their pants. My son never used a pull up and was a breeze to potty train. Tell your wife to talk to her sister. If she is that lazy that she can't stop for two minutes on her triip to allow them to pee she shouldn't take them. That is laziness as far as I'm concerned.

I think that if it's for a long plane ride it's a good idea why? are there facilities available? They make foldable potty seats that not only make a public toilet more sanitary but also make a public toilet more child friendly...it makes the opening smaller. It sounds like she's lazy and doesn't want to deal with two kids in a public restroom...she shouldn't take a lot of carry on luggage and be more available to her boys.

I think that if they have the facilities to go to the toilet it is up to the adult to keep asking if they want to go to the toilet and take them I'll give two answers:

1.) If the children are normal, healthy 5 year old children, then they should either be fully potty trained, or mostly done (some 5 year olds may still have issues with wiping).

2.) There are plenty of mental or physical issues that may make it necessary for her use diapers - issues that your wife's sister may not have bothered to tell you about yet(for example: she may not feel it's your business). thats yuck why would you put them back in nappys when its so hard to get them out of them take a portable potty seat to go on top of public tiolet and be a parent imagine a 5 yr olds nappy no thanks
