Each child differs but in general he should be speaking 40 words and know about 50 words. Check out the good site for more info. They have a developmental checklist you can do.

At two most boys can say dad, ma, ball, drink, cup, no, yes. Simple word like these. Boys are a little behind girls physiologically when it comes to language development, but it comes in time. Girls usually babble and talk a lot more than boys anyway.
it all depend on the child.my little son say every thing he here.
Every kid is different. Boys tend to develope slower than girls. But make sure you don't hold him back. If he points and grunts, don't give in to him. Incourage him to use his words. Make sure you read to him daily! Don't talk down to him! If you use baby talk so will he!

you son will learn in his time but should be able to say mum and dad and baby and cat and dog and so on. The best way to get him saying words is to get a alphabet book with animals pic in it. I have 3 girls myself and i have 1 girl that will be going thought the 2 year old stage in another year's time. Good luck and keep up the work with him
many i guess he might not said them correct know what they mean
