Why is Caillou on PBS bald?

Isn't he supposed to be 4 years old? Every Saturday when this comes on I wonder why. Does he have alopecia or undergoing chemo treatments? Does anyone know?

I have a 5yr old & I've wondered that myself along with my other friends with small children. I just asked my 5yr old & he says "I think he just shaved his head."

Here's what i've told my children: it's because he's whiny... they haven't wondered again - and may have stopped the whinies from mine for a whole 10 minutes! :) You would think a 4 year old would have some hair.. I think he acts like a brat, but my kids love him
