trying to raise money for Headstart Christmas Party?

I have a little boy in Headstart, they usually have a Christmas party for the kids sponsered by a few local companies, this year we have to do an outside christmas party, because we are no longer allowed to have anything to do with Christmas on company time. My question is....do you have any ideas on how I can raise money to buy gifts and food/supplies for the party..If we take any donations made to Headstart we have to use them for school supplies..so I need cash or actual gifts bought for the kids...By the way, there are a few kids in the class that will have nothing for Christmas so I'm realllly trying to help them have a memorable holiday..just cant afford to do it all by myself. (there are 22 kids in the class) Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Answers:
Try your church or job to see if someone would "adopt" a child. Dollar Tree has nice gifts. Someone may be able to adopt more than one.

God will bless the will over the deed, keep your chin up. The kids will have a great Christmas!
Have a Headstart garage sale. Have all the parents gather a few things and have a huge garage sale. Use the proceeds to spend on the party. Have it at a local church/event room and set up tables. Have the parents sell the items and have the kids there too selling cookies and lemonade.
