How can I eliminate my defaulted school loans?
Answers:
Dianna is correct. Even bankruptcy won't forgive a federal student loan debt. Have you gone to the employment commission for help to get a job to work on paying it back? What was your degree in? If you can get find employment, you can do a student loan consolidation which can lower the interest rate overall. Best wishes!
BTW, boom boom (on ppqna.com) may be able to help you there. Perhaps you should check out his link.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately you can't get rid of school loans even with bankrupcy. That's the ONLY kind of debt you can't get rid of in that way. You're just going to have to suck it up until they're paid off.
Pay it. the only way they will go away is if you pay them..sorry thats the truth
What does this have to do with Toddlers and Preschool?
More information would really help. My first response is to say "get a job and pay your bills." Since you seem to be computer literate, maybe you could do web pages or data entry or something. You could probably make $2900 in a month or two instead of twelve. If you're getting a refund, why wouldn't you file? At least it's going towards paying a debt off for you. You can't even file bankruptcy on a student loan, so you'll have to pay it off somehow. well brother you may be screwed. you can not discharge them in bankruptcy court without extreme circumstances. I have epilepsy and can not work as an accountant because all of the meds make me so damn tired. I researched how to discharge them and it is not easy. You may want to see if you qualify for legal aid. this way you can talk to a lawyer for free. good luck
Sorry, but the government's got ya! You HAVE to pay back your school loan, you have no choice. One thing that may help you is to contact Sallie Mae and set up a payment plan. Then, as long as you make your payments, your tax return is safe.
you could possibly check out deferrment of your student loans. usually they allow you to not make payments for 6 months to a year. it depends on your individual situation. you still have to pay them back, but it would give you a little time to get back on your feet again. since you are unemployed, it's likely that you should be able to defer payments for some period of time. also, going back to school suspends payments on previous student loans, so if it is at all possible for you to go back to school, that could help your student loan and unemployment situations.File out for economic hardship deferment.
