she just needs a little bit more attention from you
you need to enjoy this moment of your baby
She just wants your attention. Try giving her more attention and praises when she is being nice. If she is throwing her tantrums tell her in a calm but stern voice that unless she calm down and tell you what she wants, you are just going to ignore her tantrums. You yourself must not get angry and shout, because children follow by example.
Good luck. Hopefully by when she is 3 she will start calming down.

My daughter is 2 also and she does the same thing for Spongebob! If you don't want her watching Dora at that moment, put the dog in a room where she can't kick it, and let her have her tantrum. If you give in when she throws a fit she's going to think it works and will keep doing it. Just remember that she's still very little and can't quit grasp the meaning of punishment yet. Also a piece of advice I give to my husband, if it's not going to harm her let her have fun! In the next 8-10 months she will do alot of mental growing and understanding. So right now she really still needs you to guide her and spoil her a little ;)
instead of letting her watch dora, take her for a walk with her favorite dora doll, get her all the cool dora things, backpack, coloring books, paints, whatever they have now...limit tv time because too much tv isn't good for anybody, let alone a 2 yr old, but at the same time, be happy she's not watching anything she shouldn't be... my kids both watched dora religiously, but they grow out of it. and learning spanish isn't such a bad thing...
