How can I find good preschools in Westchester, NY?

Hi ... I don't live in Westchester, but i did a search and found several links that you can check out. You can investigate the preschool programs. I don't blame you for wanting to get out of the city with your little one. My boys enjoyed nursery school. I'm sure your daughter will, too.

Time, money and research. Or hire, a person who helped raise alot of children, including grandmothers. Hire a grandmom, some grannies are very active and loves little ones, because they miss their own families. Give us grannies a chance, I'm sure your both of your parents are excellent people.
Transfer her to westchester Ny I do not live in the USA but I am a preschool teacher so I can tell you things you need to look for. It is SO important that you visit the preschools before you make a decision. Make sure you are comfortable with the staff and that they are friendly, warm and responsive to the children at the centre. Ask about their policies and proceedured regarding fundamental care like health and hygeine, child protection, behaviour management etc. Also, try to visit when there are chilren at the centre. Watch them to see if they are happy and playing quietly or wandering aimlessly/ fighting/ being disruptive etc. All of these are signs that they are bored/ not being cared for.
My best suggestion is to use the links the other answer gave you to get names and then make a trip out to the suburbs to check out the best ones.
