what's the easiest way to potty train a child?
Answers:
My 3 were all potty trained by 2 years. I put the potty in the bathroom and had them try to go like me. They also had books to read by their potty. Then after one success I let them go diaper-less and they wore the cute training underwear and had their potty close by. Every child is different, be positive, and repetitive. Good luck!!!
Other Answers:
Get him/her really excited about it. The more (s)he wants it, the easier it'll be because they'll be more determined.
You should get one of those things, I forgot what they're called, but it covers the toilet (shaped like a toilet too, but it's smaller so your kid won't fall in (trust me, it's happened) and it has a step so they can reach it.
Switch your kid to pull-ups instead of diapers but make a big deal out of it, major ego boost, helps a lot.
Other than that, be as encouraging as possible and when (s)he forgets or has an , don't yell, they're upset enough as it is.
I don't know. I'm potty training my 2 and a half year old right now. She got in this habit of playing with her excraments in her bedroom at night time and smeared it EVERYWHERE!! I started spraying off her bottom with cold water and now she really wants to come in the bathroom with me all the time! So it turned a new leaf for us and we're on our way too!
Take off the diapers! Actually, we bought a potty seat a few months before we potty trained our son. Then, when he was comfortable just sitting on it with his diapers on, we started potty training him. No diapers for him during the day. When he went on the potty correctly, we praised him. He had a couple of accidents, but he learned to go potty within 2 days time!
well children are usually ready to be potty trained at age 3-4 but a good way is to try pullups or ask a doctor
Whatever you do, do not make them sit on the toilet until they go. Sadly not all people know this...
let the child go naked and leave the potty chair in the child's room or living room. encourage the child to use it but dont force, that will only make it worse. also reward with stickers to, i created a sticker book. also use the words "big girl/boy" alot! good luck!
First make sure the child is completely off the bottle and no pacifiers. Than and only than will the training do any good.
