My daughter fell and sliced that little flap of skin that connects your lip to your gum with her bottom teeth?

She is 1 and now that little flap is hanging there a little bit. This happened on Thursday morning. Do you think it will heal? I don't know if I should let it go or take her to the doctor. It doesn't seem to bother her, but you can see it hanging there when she smiles.

As an RN...Have seen this numerous Xs...Generally it heals very rapidly and well!!!

Be sure to have her rinse her mouth w/warm salt H20 to avoid infection...As the human mouth is full of germs.

Always consult ya' doc' when in doubt...As this child is ya' precious gift!!!

take her to the doctor. u dont want anything getting in there may cause an infection. they may be able to sew it back together
