Babysitting Activities For a 2 Year Old & a 5 Year Old?

I have to nanny this upcoming week for two little girls (ages 2 and 5) from 9-5 Monday through Friday. I've worked in a daycare for almost two years, and have been babysitting for six, but I've never had to entertain two children with such a handicap of an age difference for such a long period of time, and I'm afraid I'll run out of activities for them to do. Suggestions?

Answers:
be active. both ages like to play outside. Play ball, play hide and seek. Perhaps give the 5 year old a toy that will keep him/her busy while you give extra attention to the 2 year old.

both age groups like crayons and paper. Have them create some art for your fridge or for mommy and daddy back home.

Bring some sheets and blankets to the living room and make a fort for the two of them to crawl around in. bring in extra chairs and things to drape the sheets over so it is bigger and more exciting.

do you have a shallow kiddie pool? Let them wade around in that for a little while. When that becomes boring have them run around the yard to get dry...make it a fun game.

Story time is good. Find books to read to them or take them to the library and let them pick one out to read or look at the pictures. Or maybe a trip to the ice cream shop.

Put in a music CD and have them play dancing games....like : when the music stops everyone has to freeze and see how silly the position they stopped in looks!!

when all else fails.....public televison has educational shows for all ages.
How about "Let's hide in the Closet" ?
